“They made me think about the bigger picture. What comes after middle school, high school, and college. The real adult life things that we should be learning. That should be built into our curriculum.” Howard University - BFA 2021

“I liked this program because it showed me about what to do in the future and how money actually works and it was pretty fun and I am thankful for what the program taught us.”
Raymond C.
“They opened my eyes that culture is important and you have to keep learning. They taught us it’s not all about money. You can do things out of your heart and kindness and that’s what makes a difference."
Gabriela A.
“The program gives children many opportunities. Instead of being bored at home they can be interacting with other kids and learning new things.”
Mohanad M.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be in the program. Now I know so much and I’m a step ahead of everyone. They don’t teach you things in school like this. I would 100% recommend it. I had a great time, I met great people and now I still have Mr. Dave & Mr. Dan to help me go through life.”
Mohanad on Puerto Rico Trip
“It was an amazing experience! They treated us like young adults and we felt confident because of the advice they gave us.”
Kaleb D.
“I think students need the Saturday Academy program. It’s an amazing program and gives me an opportunity to teach the kids, but also learn from them. It’s also important to show other cultures because it’s a huge part of what makes the world amazing.”
Gian M.
“The best experience I ever had in my life! I learned how to communicate with others and become a team.”
Briannah M.
“I like the variety and diversity. There’s many options the kids can choose from which I think helps make them comfortable and keeps them interested. Also, many chances to learn new things like when guest speakers come and present.”
Sophia T.
“I like that we get to learn things that we will use in the future. I like that we get to experience new things everyday. I got to make new friends.”
Jacob G.
“I like Arte because you always learn something new. It could be in the first 30 minutes where we all sit down together and learn about cultures. Even as one of the student instructors, I learn with the kids.”

“I love learning the piano and ukulele. If I didn’t have the program, I would be home playing video games.”
Keily A.
“Every Saturday I am excited to go. I literally wish it was longer because time passed so fast. I met new people, and got closer to others. There’s something about seeing kids learn that gives you this really warm feeling in your heart. I hope the friendships I made will last forever. I learned how to be more outspoken, and open to trying new things. I really wouldn't trade it for anything else. I’m so thankful I got the opportunity to be involved in not so much an academy, but a family.”
